Adriatic Vascular Summit 2010, Split, Croatia Sept. 6-8, 2010
ABOUT THE ADRIATIC VASCULAR SUMMIT

The Adriatic Vascular Summit 2011 will include discussion on vascular disease epidemiology, the wide variety of diagnostic procedures, various surgical techniques, and endovascular intervention and peripheral vascular topics. During interactive live case presentations, the faculty will discuss the standard of care and alternative options in specific patient cases with special emphasis on how to perform complex interventional procedures and how to manage or avoid major complications.

Course Objectives
At the end of the Adriatic Vascular Summit, the participant will be better prepared to:
   – Assess the newest technology and interventional techniques and determine the appropriate application to their patients
   – Diagnose and assess patients with peripheral vascular disease
   – Review new advances in the endoluminal repair of abdominal and thoracic aortic aneurysms
   – Critically evaluate the appropriate use of stent grafts for aortic aneurysm repair
   – Understand the appropriate use of vascular closure devices
   – Discuss the appropriate use of stents for carotid, iliofemoral, renal and aortic disease
   – Integrate into their practices the knowledge obtained thorugh case presentations
   – Apply the results of evidence-based medicine in the management of their patients
   – Discuss the latest imaging technologies utilized in endovascular techniques and interventional medicine
   – Integrate these forms of therapy into a clinical practice to minimize complications in coronary and peripheral interventions

Course Format
The Adriatic Vascular Summit focuses on the most relevant topics in vascular and endovascular medicine today. New and innovative therapies are being developed at a breakneck pace, and the AVS provides the environment for discussion and interaction to meet our educational objectives.
